Hello Everyone,

Thank you so much for all your thanks and feedback for our virtual services.

We have had questions about giving to the church whilst the building is closed and no collections are taking place.  We are in the process of setting up a way to make such donations easier, so watch this space!

Thank you for all your kind words of support.

Very best wishes to you all

Tom

The words of this hymn were written by William Chatterton Dix (1837-1898) and the second verse is particularly relevant to today’s gospel.  The tune is the well known Welsh tune Hyfrydol.  Here it is sung at First-Plymouth Church, Lincoln, Nebraska in 2014.
Jean is reading from Peter’s first letter, chapter 3, verses 13 to the end.  ‘Suffering for doing good’.
John 14 verses 15-21, which follows last weeks Gospel reading
